Winter Solstice Ocean Swim

Masters Swimming WA are inviting all Masters Swimming Clubs to rally members and take part in a Winter Solstice Ocean Swim on the weekend June 20th/21st.

How do I earn points?

There will be three swim distances you can take part in:

• Quick Dip: 2-5 minute swim, or less than 400m – 5 points

• Regular Swim: 5-20 minute swim, or 400m-1km – 10 points

• Super Swim: 20-60+ minutes, anything more than 1km – 30 points

PLUS

• Video: 10 points

• Photo: 5 points

Prizes for the winning club

Each distance will be given a number of points for participation. Just like in the virtual meet, each individual must log their participation online in order to collect points for the club (don’t stress, Club Recorder Helen will be on hand to help members complete online entry).

The Live Lighter prize packs will be awarded to all participants from the winning club. Prize packs include a gym towel, steel water-bottle, wide brim hat, calico bag and recipe books.

• Join your fellow Mannas on Saturday morning June 20th at Doddi’s Beach, Mandurah

• Register with Club Recorder on arrival

• Enjoy your swim

• Hot shower will be available

• Complete the online entry (assisted by Helen) - entry is FREE!

• BYO BBQ after swim, remember we all have to follow social distancing guidelines

• Captain John will assist with video and photography
