Mandurah Mannas that inspire us!

Rod Baker 1928 - 2018
 

Rod joined Mandurah Mannas in 1998. He regularly swam at Doddi's Beach and competed in pool and open water events into his late eighties. 

As 90yr old Rod would say, "Swimming is just a matter of breathing in, breathing out, relaxing arms and legs".

Wayne Cable
 

Wayne has been a member of Mandurah Mannas since 2005. He regularly swims at Doddi's Beach, coaches at the pool and competes in open water events. 

 

A quiet achiever whose native habitat is the open water.

Gerry Green
 

Gerry is a founding member of Mandurah Mannas. He regularly swims at Doddi's Beach and the pool. 

 

Gerry is the rock upon which our club is built.

Graeme McAuslane
 

Graeme has been a member of Mandurah Mannas since 1994. He regularly swims at Doddi's Beach and coaches at the pool, but no longer competes in pool and open water events. 

 

Graeme has a unique ability to encourage and help swimmers of all abilities to improve.

Barb Pellick
 

Barb has been a member of Mandurah Mannas since 2006. She regularly swims at Doddi's Beach, coaches and competes in open water events. 

 

Barb is always willing to chat about and share her knowledge of swimming, as she says "Swimming is her passion".

Ken Phillips 1945 - 2017
 

Ken was an active member of Mandurah Mannas from 1998 until his passing in 2017. He regularly swam at Doddi's Beach and competed in pool and open water events. 

 

Ken was an authority on all things swimming and always prepared to volunteer whenever needed.

Ivan Wingate
 

Ivan has been a member of Mandurah Mannas since 2002. He regularly swims at Doddi's Beach and competes in pool and open water events. 

 

Ivan is working on breaking a life-time bad habit of getting involved.

Pauline Wingate
 

Pauline has been a member of Mandurah Mannas since 2002. She regularly swims at Doddi's Beach and competes in pool and open water events. 

 

As Pauline says "You do not have to be elite at anything, just the fact that you are participating is rewarding."
