Weekly pool sessions
Tuesday: 6.00pm to 7.30pm
Thursday: 6.00pm to 7.30pm
Sunday: 9.00am to 10.30am
Tuesdays and Thursdays are Club training sessions led by our Master's accredited Club Coaches. Each of three lanes cater for different levels of fitness and ability. Members select the lane that suits their ability.
All swimmers are advised to put in only as much effort as they are comfortable with.
Sundays are more relaxed with swimmers partaking in the Vorgee Endurance 1000 program or a leisurely swim of their own choosing. On the last Sunday of each month, swimmers bring a plate and enjoy a morning tea together.
Vorgee Endurance 1000 swims are an excellent way of monitoring your own fitness. The program is designed to encourage people to compete in distances from 400 metres to 60 minutes duration in a variety of strokes.
Mandurah's Masters Coaches (L to R) - Wayne Cable, John Cahill (Head Coach), Des Seery and Mike Bennett (assistant coaches Ivan Wingate and Graeme McAuslane missing).
In addition to Tuesday and Thursdays, periodically our coaches run swiming technique workshops. The goal is to provide a clear understanding of the most efficient technique for effortless swimming.
Workshops are run as an open session with theoretical and practical land sessions followed by a pool session to try out drills, video self-analysis and corrections.
All levels of swimmers are invited (ocean or pool).
A Club Challenge is a pool competition in which teams from different clubs compete for points. Usually about 100 to 200 swimmers of all capabilities enter for fun and fitness.
On Sunday 7 April 2019, Mandurah Mannas hosted a short course Club Challenge at Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre, Pinjarra Rd, Mandurah.
Mandurah Mannas will also compete in the following 2020 MSWA Pool Swims (with a strong team focus on the events in bold):-
