Mandurah 2nd at Stadium Snappers LLCC

In another strong performance, Mandurah Mannas came 2nd in the Stadium Masters 2016 LiveLighter Club Challenge on Sunday 18 September at HBF Stadium, Mt Claremont.

Yet again Kim and Ann were two of our strongest performers with a solid 4 hours of timekeeping. Thank you girls!

Anwar continued his bad habit of swimming fast and breaking State Records when he blitzed the field again in the 35 to 39 Age Group with another two memorable swims. First, in the 200m Backstroke where he broke Peter Galvin's 2008 State Record of 2:29.72 with an amazing 2:28.78 swim, and second, in the 100 Freestyle where his swim of 57:58 was not far outside the State Record of 56:63 set by Malcolm McLennan in 2008. More importantly his 100m Freestyle scored him 686 Fina Points, which rocketed him past Ryan Spencer to top the Mandurah Mannas Fina Best Swim of the Year Table.

Others to be congratulated for having their best swims for the year (based on Fina Points) included: Ingrid Van Der Wel 200m FS, Lindsay Wiland 100m FS, Karen Boyce 50 BS, Steve Ferguson 200m FS, Greg Cockram 50m FS, and Ken Phillips 50m FS.
