2019 Mandurah LLCC - Photos, Report & Results

The Mandurah Mannas continued to put on another brilliant showdown by showing up and showing off. Our team spirit met and exceeded all expectations with our team of 27 or so swimmers plus supporters, and officials all performing exceptionally well.

(Of course) Our team won overall, for which we are unanimously pleased. We also cleaned up in the raffle, which is also pleasing for those that won some of those great prizes!

The cheer and support squad for our team was fantastic as always. The overall improvement of individuals and their general "give it a go" attitude was fantastic to see in action.

Our relays boasted some fantastic smiles and wins, to say the least. Special mention to Alister for doing the 50m butterfly in the medley relay. Well done Alister! It was inspirational.

There was standout competition from our club's newest members and improved swimmers from previous years. This gave a new sense of satisfaction that we all can be happy and supportive of others no matter how annoying it is to not win, when perhaps it was previously easier to win in the past.

I understand there are quite a few new claimants for club records. Details on those will be shared by those individuals if you happen to be in their company before the next target meet.

The atmosphere and well run event by our club made for a particularly enjoyable and fun meet. Thank you to Steve Crake who managed to put it all together with the help of numerous other club members. The sandwiches (on toast bread) were brilliant as always!! Next year they will be on sandwich bread apparently, like all of the previous years... wink, wink to our kitchen extraordinaire Deb Bloor and the great team behind her.

The number of participants to each pool meet so far this year and attendance at training nights is really motivating for our coaches and club captain.

Our next target meet is the Stadium Snappers LLCC on May 5th. You will need to get your nominations in by Tuesday, 23rd April to Capt Jen by email to jrollinbusby@gmail.com or text to 0452 204 087. Alternatively, you can enter in the book in the training cage at training nights.

Well done to all!
