A highly tuned team of 33 Mannas took to the water for the inaugrual Cut to Club Swim held on Saturday 18 January. It proved quite a challenging swim with an eclectic set of conditions for swimmers to overcome. The swimmers started in the estuary on the south side of the Cut, swimming initially east in choppy water to round the breakwater before turning 180 deg to the west to enjoy being swept down the cut and out into what was choppy ocean conditions. Once out in the ocean, swimmers turned south and battled into a stiff sea breeze for 700 m until reaching the final turning buoy and heading to the finish line on the beach in front of the Port Bouvard Surf Club.
Thank you and well done to the Port Buovard Surf Club for putting on a great event, an event we are all looking forward to entering again next year.
Congratulations to all those who swam, especially Caitlin and Sue J for coming 1st and 2nd in the Open 3.5 km swim. The sub-set of Mandurah results are shown below or you can go to the Bluechip Results Page to see how all the results.
